Local Events & Sponsorships
Some people measure professional success purely monetarily, but the team at Sanborn Chevrolet knows that we’re only here because of the trust, support and loyalty of Lodi Chevrolet fans who have chosen to make us their go-to destination for Chevy sales and service. We couldn’t be more grateful for this wonderful community that has enabled our ongoing success, which is why we strive to give back whenever possible by supporting numerous local events both small and large. The following sponsorships are just some of the events our Chevy dealer in Lodi has in the works.
Lodi Certified Farmer’s Market
A beloved local summer tradition, the Lodi Certified Farmer’s Market provides an opportunity for shoppers to directly support regional farms. Every Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. between May 12 and August 25, you’ll discover some of the best local meat, cheese and produce Northern California has to offer right here in downtown Lodi. You can also stop by to enjoy live music or grab a drink in the beer and wine gardens. As the presenting sponsor of the 2022 season, we can’t wait to see you there every Thursday after work!
Lodi Street Faire
Twice annually, the streets of downtown Lodi are transformed into a 14-block bazaar of food, music, treats and gifts when the Lodi Street Faire comes to town. This premier event attracts vendors and fairgoers from across the state, and locals young and old agree that this is something that is not to be missed. As longtime residents of Lodi ourselves, the Lodi Street Faire holds a special place in our hearts, which is why we’re so proud to be one of the main sponsors of both 2022 events. This year, the spring edition is scheduled for May 1, while the autumn event falls on October 2. Be sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss this must-see Lodi attraction!
Chef & Survivor Cook-Off
The Chef and Survivor Cook-Off is more than just a fun competition between kitchen maestros -- it’s an event to raise awareness for cancer survivors, as well as domestic violence and sexual assault victims. Their resilience, fortitude, courage and strength are honored as teams of local chefs and survivors compete to craft the most sumptuous dish around one key ingredient. As the chefs work their magic, attendees can enjoy hors d’oeuvres from well-respected restaurants and beverages from 11 regional wineries as they browse the wares of participating vendors.
Apex Bass Fishing Tour
My name is Stan Lafever, I have been bass fishing for 40 years. I have participated in all of the major bass fishing circuits on the West Coast and Texas team tournament Trail. I am currently fishing the Apex tour which is the highest level of bass fishing on the West Coast, it can be seen on the Pursuit channel. I love competing and teaching bass fishing. I could not pursue this without my partners: Sanborn Chevrolet, Jackson Rancheria Casino and Resort, Hook’d Tackle Store In Lone, Ed’s Lead, Bass Union, Gamma Fishing Line.
Over 80 years ago, a small community of San Joaquin County vineyard owners gathered to commemorate the year's grape harvest. That initial celebration planted the seed for the beloved Lodi Grape Festival, which is a multi-day extravaganza of food and fun. Here at Sanborn Chevrolet, we can't wait for the festivities to get started -- and as one of the event's premier sponsors, we couldn't be more thrilled to see the culmination of all the hard work that goes into bringing this celebration to life. As avid proponents of community service, it is our honor and pleasure to help make this event possible.
Of course, our Chevy dealer in Lodi couldn't do it without your continued support. Thanks to our loyal customers, we're able to give back to the community we've been a part of for all these years. Everybody who comes into our showroom to buy a new Silverado or review Chevy lease options is not only about to take delivery of a cutting-edge car -- they're also ensuring that a longtime local institution can continue to champion cherished town traditions like the Lodi Grape Festival. And in an age where online car-selling websites and general ecommerce threaten to strip the local experience out of shopping, it's more important than ever that we all support the hometown businesses run by our families, friends and neighbors. If you need any more reason than that to shop local, just head to the Lodi Grape Festival to see the fruits of our labors -- pun intended!
